The company has been founded in Prato, Tuscany, in 1958 as an artisan pastry workshop. Our passion for pastry-making has grown in the following 30 years; Franco and Piero, brothers and founders, opened a retail shop, quickly becoming an excellence in the local market.
Intuition to sell an handmade product on almost industrial level, thanks to the constant diligence and the incessant research in making in any way a succesful as well as tradintional product, has not prevented the idea to combine tradition with different sales channels. In 1985 took place a great trasnformation: within a few years a 2000 square meters new facility joined the existing big bakery: Pratogel srl was founded.
Nowadays Pratogel srl is a company operating through Italy with an highly organized commercial and distribution structure: Regional market is directly serverd by a widespread supplying network made of one-firm agents and drivers who take high care in delivering. As for National market we represent a valuable supplier of frozen pastry, relying on a strong network of dealers and synergic platforms.
In a world where manufacturing decisions are strongly oriented towards standardization and homologation our added value is for sure we have chosen, through the years, a policy to offer entirely handmade products to the market: they keep the taste and the quality that our Pastry Master Chef have been able to bring into Frozen Patry Production.
